My journey into the world of accounting began unexpectedly, managing employee hours and payroll for my husband's cleaning business. That initial exposure to numbers sparked my passion for finance, and I quickly decided to pursue a degree in Accounting at the prestigious SAIT. That fueled by my love for numbers, I took on a successful tenure with some of the world’s leading firms, including WestJet, United Floors, and Wolseley Mechanicals. From my humble beginnings as an entry-level account clerk, my sharp eye for detail and eagerness to learn accelerated my growth. I quickly rose through the ranks to become a respected Bookkeeper, and it was at that point I made the bold decision to step into entrepreneurship and establish my accounting firm. Under my leadership, High Power Solutions has evolved into a dynamic full-service accounting firm. We're known for our unwavering commitment to integrity, client satisfaction, and delivering innovative financial solutions that help businesses thrive. My entrepreneurial drive, combined with my extensive financial expertise, continues to fuel the company’s ongoing growth and success. Beyond numbers, I’m passionate about living life to the fullest. When I'm not helping clients achieve financial clarity, you’ll likely find me exploring the great outdoors—whether it’s camping, hiking, or enjoying a weekend getaway. As a foodie, I’m always on the hunt for new culinary experiences, and I love unwinding with a great movie. My path to accounting has been anything but typical, shaped by a diverse career that blends business administration, management, and hands-on experience across multiple industries. This unique journey has allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set and a fresh perspective on accounting, enabling me to approach challenges with creativity and precision. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I’m able to bridge gaps and connect with a wide range of clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding. Since joining High Power Solutions Holding Inc. in April 2023, I’ve been entrusted with managing key financial processes, including budgeting, invoicing, and year-end tax documentation. In addition, I’ve built strong relationships with clients, always striving for excellence and ensuring their financial needs are met with care and accuracy. My experience spans several sectors, including oil and gas, kitchen design, and software development, where I honed my expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data analysis. Outside of work, I’m based in Calgary with my husband and children. When I’m not immersed in financial data, I love experimenting in the kitchen, helping others, and planning the next great adventure with my family. Life, much like accounting, is all about balance, and I find joy in the small moments that make it all worthwhile.
Ishpreet Lamba is a finance leader with over 18 years of experience helping organizations run smoothly and efficiently. From managing treasury and risk to overseeing accounts payable and financial operations, he’s done it all. He’s passionate about making processes better, driving results, and using technology to improve the way teams work. Known for building strong, collaborative teams, Ishpreet brings a hands-on, data-driven approach to ensure financial goals are in sync with the bigger picture. His diverse background spans industries like logistics, manufacturing, and construction, and he holds an MBA, CPA, and CMA. When it comes to transforming financial functions and helping businesses grow, Ishpreet is all in.
